Bagel Beanery is a small, cozy cafe and bagel shop located in Wyoming, Michigan, that specializes in house-made bagels, espresso drinks, and sandwiches.
Bagel Beanery offers a wide selection of quality breakfast and lunch sandwiches, fresh bagels, espresso, coffee, and pastries. My favorite item to order from here is the All American Club on a plain bagel, which consists of smoked turkey, honey-cured ham, lettuce, bacon, American cheese, tomato, and mayonnaise. On the side, it comes with a dill pickle spear and potato chips that can be substituted for bagel chips, which is what I usually do. I also like to get a fruit smoothie, specifically the strawberry banana one, which pairs perfectly with my meal.
The service there is amazing, and the ladies working there are super sweet and thoughtful, which I appreciate. Most days I have gone there, only two older ladies have been working, and despite that, they get the job done quickly and well, with your food presented on a tray as they call out the food you ordered within only about 8 minutes. They are never rude, harsh, or abrupt when taking your order, and if you’d like something to be changed around or swapped out of your order, they don’t hesitate to do so.
Being that it is a breakfast and lunch place, it is generally open from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, sometimes 4:00 PM. On the inside, it is a casual, small spot with booths and dim lighting, as the main light source is natural, coming from the big windows beside the seating. They also have tall, barstool chairs that look out at Clyde Park Ave and watch the cars pass. The walls contain warm-toned paintings that depict coffee and bagels as well, perfectly fitting the artistic and comfy aesthetic. It is welcoming, warming, and comforting, perfect for small meet-ups and conversation, or even as a place to study, read, or draw, as it is never too busy or noisy.
I recommend this highly regarded bagel shop to anyone who enjoys bagel sandwiches, warm or refreshing drinks, a relaxed atmosphere, and friendly service.
