The Wolf Den introduced two new slushie flavors last week: cherry snow and blue raspberry. With weekly slushie flavors, the Den gives WHS students something new to enjoy during lunch periods on Wednesdays and Fridays. Along with the new flavors, two new apparel items were also released and were available through a preorder system then sold on Friday, with a limited supply available during the week of Valentine’s Day.
The Wolf Den is a school store that many WHS students look forward to every week. With new slushie flavors introduced each week, students are always excited as they stop by the store. In addition to slushies and snacks, new apparel is dropped every couple of months. The Wolf Den is not only a school store, but a place that is the highlight of students week and that brings excitement.
“I look forward to the slushies each Wednesday during lunch because they have the best flavors,” said senior Angel Aviles-Santiago.
As the month of February began, students in the Business Management and Marketing class, who run the Wolf Den, prepared for the apparel release. Throughout January, students designed new apparel items they believed other students would be interested in purchasing. After reviewing more than 21 designs, the Wolf Den student staff selected two crewneck designs to be released as preorder merchandise and then in person through the Wolf Den.
In addition, handmade ribbon roses went on sale during the week of Valentine’s Day. A variety of colors, chosen by the student staff, were glued together to create each rose. These roses were a special, limited-edition item that was only available during the week of Valentine’s Day.
“It was so busy in the Wolf Den since everyone was doing everything. I don’t think we’ve prepped this much for a holiday since I’ve been a part of this class,” said junior Argenis Jones.
Along with the ribbon roses, blankets were also sold to support the BPA fundraiser. Blankets were sold for $25, and all proceeds went to BPA to help cover the costs of their State Leadership Conference.
With all of these new apparel items and special releases, it was clear that the Wolf Den had exciting plans for both the store and its customers. Although Valentine’s week has passed, you still have the opportunity to stop by this week to see what’s available, support the store, and grab a slushie during lunch. You won’t regret it!
