Mark your calendars! The Wyoming High School Key Club is hosting its February Blood Drive next week, giving students the opportunity to save lives. This event will take place in the small aux gym on Wednesday, February 11, from 8 AM till 1:30 PM. Wyoming High School Key Club is organizing this event, in partnership with Versiti.
“Although I’m scared of needles, I enjoy donating blood,” said WHS senior Hadara Collazo.
Blood donations are always in high demand, and each donation can save up to three lives. Whether you’re planning on donating at Wyoming High School, or elsewhere, your contribution is greatly appreciated by Versiti and the people who need it.
“I love knowing that I’m saving lives by donating,” said senior Angel Aviles-Santiago. “That’s all that matters to me.”
The blood drive is open to students ages 16-18. Key Club volunteers will be present to guide each donor throughout the process. If you’re 16, make sure to pick up a consent form outside of Mrs. Johnston’s door (Room 1207) and bring it with you on the day of your appointment.
Slots are filling up fast, so sign up today! The sign-up link was sent out by Mrs. Johnston over email to all students. Donate at the WHS Blood Drive because your blood could be exactly what someone needs. For any questions, contact Mrs. Johnston ([email protected]) or me ([email protected]).
