Are we there yet? Is it graduation?
It’s been a rollercoaster of these past few years but I’m truly glad it went by fast.
These past high school years have been packed with emotions. A few things I loved from this year was being able to express myself more freely and be more comfortable with who I am as a person. As a kid, I struggled with being shy until I got comfortable, this year it all changed. I’ve been bold with makeup and outfits, and I’ve truly tried to be more involved with others and the school.
I’ve been in a band since 5th grade. Band has been such a huge part of my life. Ever since I was little, music always felt like the center of attention to me. No matter where I was, who I was with, or what I was doing, if music was playing, I could hear it. Through my band years I’ve adventured into trying many different instruments. I’ve played clarinet, bass clarinet, percussion, tenor saxophone, and my all time favorite… Baritone Saxophone! Many people view the band kids as weird and nerdy… but in reality, the band is most likely where you will find the most accepting and kindest people you’ll ever meet.
