Everyone has heard about one of America’s most famous and disturbing serial killers, including the monster Jeffery Dahmer.
He’s had many documentaries about him, and now a new series on Netflix called Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. The series shows parts of him growing up, and really how sick he really was. Evan Peters did a wonderful job playing his part, as every scene is so uncomfortable and horrific to watch.
This series is truly hard to review, as Dahmer was very sick. But the show’s ambiance, feel, and actors were all wonderful. Nothing really seemed out of place, and really made viewers, especially me, feel sick and uncomfortable. Evan Peters, the person who acted for Dahmer, was perfect. His demeanor, face, the way he moved, his emotions, were all so perfect. It felt as if we were actually following the real thing.
Even the settings for the series were exceptional. From the club to his father’s house, to Dahmer’s own house, the sets looked so identical to the real images. Even his father’s house looked alike. And the feel of the settings were spot on, from the music and ambiance, and the lighting. All of it was eerie.
Other actors, from the one that played the unfortunate role of being Dahmer’s victim, were also great. You could see, and feel their fear. You could see how uncomfortable they were in Dahmer’s home, or speaking to him. Even with Dahmer’s neighbor Glenda, you could see she tried and you could see her disgust. It was unfortunate how desperately she called the police and had no answer.
The story is absolutely horrifying. Having to watch everything Dahmer did, the way he acted, his childhood it was all horrific. From the feel, ambiance, settings, and acting, that was all great, it really felt like we were watching the real thing, I believe it is an 8/10. It is so upsetting and disturbing, but it is depicted perfectly, and something I would never watch for a second time.
