Natalie Meyer, Contributing Writer

Have you ever gotten the chance to meet someone you have never really met before? Well, I definitely got the chance to meet Natalie Meyer. She is an 11th-grade girl here at Wyoming high school.

Some of Natalie’s favorite things to do in her free time are to listen to music which she is very versatile with her music choice, loves art, and also reads. Natalie’s favorite person is her orange cat August. When she got her cat it was said that “I got him at one of the toughest times in my life. I was going through a lot of stuff mentally.” “August and I are like attached together, that's like my best friend. I feel like he keeps me going in a way other people can’t,” says Natalie.

Natalie has traveled a lot out of state and even out of the country. Her favorite place she went to which was the most recent trip for her was Puerto Rico she was there for about a week and went with a bunch of families. She mentioned, “it was a lot different than our other trips probably because this one was more planned out for the week rather than the other ones.”

Since we are in a school with younger kids than us I asked Natalie what advice you have for kids younger than you. She replied saying “reach out before it's too late” which I think is important because many kids struggle with mental health. Natalie explained how she is very proud of herself for getting through hard times which everyone should be proud of themselves no matter what it is.
