Playing a sport and keeping up with academics can get hard at times since you must be persistent in both. However, Isabella Behrens, a freshman, makes it look pretty easy..

Bella is seen as both a great student and a great teammate. Bella enjoys playing track, and it is one of her main sports.

She always shows how good a student-athlete she is and how persistent she is on both the field and in academics. Bella's strength and resilience are what keep her going well on the track field. “I started playing last year in 8th grade.” Since then, she has been very persistent and hard-working. Track takes a lot of hard work and has been a popular sport since 776 B.C.!

The sport is mainly focusing on running and sprinting. Your point of view on the sport can vary “It's a very engaging sport and can be time-consuming, causing it to be draining at times.” She always makes sure to keep her head up, though, and keep going. “Food can help me be more positive about the sport and helps!” she said.

Having something to look forward to helps Bella have a positive attitude.

Track involves a lot of outside activities and interactions. “I like how I can get tanner and be with friends while getting stronger,” she said.

Track involves a lot of running and you can build strength out of it. Bella likes how it helps with strength and how fun it is for her. It's a sport that keeps you going and can help you be more productive and keep your momentum going. “I run the 800, 4×800 and the 4×400,” she said.

Bella’s team has had five meets so far, winning one. Although the streak is not the best, she believes in her team and their abilities. “I know our team is trying really hard and it's still an enjoyable sport either way,” she said.
Track is something She really enjoys and although it has downsides she always makes sure to look at it from a different angle. Knowing that this sport is something she enjoys she is sure to do it for more years.

She always has a positive attitude on both the track field and school. She has gotten to meet many new people and become friends with more through track. “I look forward to keep doing it for more years to come and am excited for new doors to open through track.”
