There’s this blue hedgehog named Sonic that somehow accidentally carved a part of the moon trying to save the world once again. If you didn’t know, that’s what happens in the new movie, Sonic The Hedgehog 3.
Everyone is familiar with Sonic, whether it’s the character itself or the games. Sonic The Hedgehog 3, which was recently released on December 20, 2024, has been talked about a lot. With the recent release of the movie, it’s been very liked by the public. People on social media have complimented the movie with very similar points.
The plot simply is about Sonic (Ben Schwartz), Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey), and Knuckles (Idris Elba) getting called for help and discovering Shadow (Keanu Reeves). Eventually, Robotnik (Jim Carrey) joins them to help but then switches up. Shadow’s character and how he portrays himself is different from the other three. He has a clear plan and mindset that puts the world in potential danger and it’s up to them to find out what it is.
The director and writers of these movies know how to contain and even build more excitement for the public. In the past two movies, they’ve ended by showing a short scene of a new character popping up for the next movie. In this new movie, there is obviously a new character that shows up. The way they introduce the new character is unique and honestly brings a loud gasp to the whole audience in the movie theater. We were all expecting to see the next new character, but we don’t know who the writers have picked and that’s exactly what brings that excitement.
The most important part of not just this Sonic movie, but the other two as well is the cringe humor it brings. For example, there’s a scene where Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles go to this Japanese place with cute mascots around them in order to meet someone and they´re confronted with these robot machines that are after them. After Sonic notices, the whole place is turned into a mess with him saying, ¨Konichi-what¨. It was somewhat cringe but also just very light-hearted.
Overall, out of 5 stars, I’d easily give it a 5 out of 5. This movie is not only entertaining with its humor but also the chemistry between the directors and workers in the making of Sonic The Hedgehog 3. It’ll definitely meet your expectations.
