Did you know we have one of the best teenage barbers here at Wyoming High School?
His name is Josue, he keeps up with school and all his clients never get let down.
For Josue, cutting hair means more than just cutting hair.
“I became a barber because I was interested and saw that cutting hair is like a type of art,” Josue said.
“I started cutting close friends and family members’ hair in the beginning. Many people didn’t have hope in me but I proved my point to other people.”
Josue Salazar started cutting hair recently. “ I wish I started earlier because I didn’t know how much I was going to enjoy it. But I started a little over a year ago.“
The person who inspired this young talented barber was, “ The barber I still go to till this day is the person that inspired me because he always told me the joy people get when they get a fresh cut. “
One day I went to cut my hair but inside of saying,
“Come in the garage “
He rather said, “Come inside and take a right to go downstairs.“
When I arrived I asked him, “Does your family care that you cut hair in their basements?”
“I moved to the basement because many people were complaining during the winter that it was very cold there. So I told my mom I would take the offer she gave me.”
Since we are on topic I asked, “Does your family support you? “ He said,
“Yes, my family does support me in every way they can. For that support that I got throughout cutting hair, I am in the position that I am the cause of them. “
Some lucky people who are close or went to him when he first started getting free cuts for life,
“The people that I am giving free cuts to for life are my best friend and very close family members who never doubted me. “
The best type of haircuts Josue Salazar does are the most common among teenagers, “I am good at doing tapers and fades because that’s what people usually ask for so I have the most experience out of all the different ones out there. I am also really good at doing designs because many people ask for those as well and they are never the same. “
Josue Salazar doesn’t see any other career he is interested in “I do see myself staying as a barber because I have put many many hours into this career. I also spent a lot of money on equipment so it could look nicer and better. “
