Save up your money and fast– many music festivals are coming soon! Here are the top 2 anticipated festivals of 2024.
Taking place on May 25 & 26 at Grant Park, Chicago, the Sueños Festival will consist of many hot (literally) artists. The 2024 lineup of the festival is perfect. It includes many popular artists including Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro, Maluma, and Ivan Cornejo. If your favorite genre of music is Latin, this is the perfect festival for you. Personally, I believe that festivals are so much better and affordable than concerts. Instead of seeing all individually, you can see a total of 25 artists at a starting price of $310, with the highest cost being $1,800. The passes were available for pre-order starting on November 8, 2023.
Unfortunately, all passes are sold out, so you would have to buy from a reseller if you’re still interested in attending. Another downside is that you have to be 18 to attend the festival. Believe me, I would’ve been there otherwise.
Following up with a classic, Coachella is next. This year Coachella will take place in Indio, California. This festival consists of 2 weekends, one being April 12-14, and the other being April 19-21. The line up will consist of Peso Pluma, Carin León, Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice, Santa Fe Klan, and many more! Coachella offers a wider variety of genres, with a perfect mixture of the hottest Latin and American artists. Weirdly enough, Hatsune Miko is also making an appearance. If you’re unaware of who she is, Miko is a Vocaloid software voicebank.
Pre-sales started in mid-January this year. Tickets start at $549.99 for a 1 weekend pass, and can be up to $1,069 for VIP passes. Since the festival has been extremely popular for years, tickets come and go quickly, which unfortunately leads to overpriced resales. Fortunately, Coachella is open to all ages. People under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on festival grounds. So far, general admission & general admission + shuttle has sold out for Weekend 1. However, they are available still for Weekend 2, as well as VIP for both tickets.
What I love the most about festivals is seeing everyone’s excitement. Going on TikTok to see everyone prepare for festivals with their cute outfits is the best. If you plan on attending a festival, feel free to show me videos! Most importantly, have fun and stay safe!
