A Seniors Last Game
By: Alysha Griffin
A seniors last game is an emotional event. Being in the same school for so long, playing the same sport for so long, and then it all just ends. Having unanswered questions and unfinished ideas, but being happy it’s over. La’Anna Griffin is one of our volleyball seniors this year. Anna has one of the greatest personalities, she has made a difference in Wyoming, and she is a great volleyball player. Every volleyball player looks up to someone.
In Anna’s 4 years of highschool volleyball she has had 3 new volleyball coaches. “It’s been hard adjusting to new coaches and new expectations,” Anna said. “ Building relationships with coaches just for them to leave the next year was really hard.” Talking about coaches, Anna’s favorite coach was her 4th year coach, coach Taejah Harris. Anna’s favorite volleyball memory was her personal connection with her coach. “Whether it was dumb things or important things, I would always love to talk to Coach Taejah anytime,” Anna said. “I had gotten injured for my senior year, and was nevous I couldn’t get to play my last game,Taejah really helped me through it, motivating me to stay healthy to play again.”
Anna is a really hard worker. “ I motivate myself, for myself. To be a better person and player mentally and physically.” Anna stated. Anna has become a better person and a better player throughout all her seasons. La’Anna is my sister and I’m so proud of her. Overall La’Anna is a superior senior, she has shown that she cannot be replaced at Wyoming High School.
