So, whose voice is it on the announcements every morning? It is none other than Stuart Hernandez, a junior at Wyoming High School.
The decision to give the job to Hernandez was made last spring. “It gets handed down by an upper-classman, and last year I got the honor to do them,” he said.
Hernandez also enjoys being involved in various clubs throughout the school, whether it’s taking pictures for sports or being the historian in the student council. “It also gets me more involved in school and everyone gets to know me,” he said.
There’s also another reason Hernandez enjoys being involved with announcements. “A benefit I get is that I’m tardy 10 minutes to second hour,” said Hernandez. “ Everyone hears my voice and everyone gets to know me.”
The overall experience for the junior is great. “ I do find it fun,” Hernandez said. “ I get to speak over the intercom, who wouldn’t want that?”
After school Hernandez usually goes to work or trains. He enjoys golf and is also a member of student council, theater, and student advisory committee.
