Webtoon is home to many awesome artworks and stories. Like many other webtoons turned into K-dramas, Marry My Husband made it to the big screen.
This K-drama starts with Kang Ji-Won (Park Min-Young) at the hospital, where we find out she has cancer and is expected to pass away based on her condition. Her best friend, Jung Soo-Min (Song Ha-Yoon), is visiting, and everything seems normal. But Ji-Won has noticed something odd; her husband and best friend are acting differently. Ji-Won decides to go home and confront her husband, since she knew he had to be cheating. When Ji-Won arrives at her house, she sees her best friend’s heels at the doorstep. At this point, I knew Soo-Min was the other woman. Ji-Won makes her way inside and finds her best friend and husband in bed… Ji-Won confronts both of them, and in the heat of an argument, her husband, Min-Hwan (Lee Yi-Kyung), pushes her. Ji-Won falls and hits her head on the corner of a glass table, where she passed away.
Suddenly, Ji-Won wakes up in 2013, 10 years before she passes away. She is working at U&K Foods. At the time, she was dating Min-Hwan and didn’t have many friends. As time goes on, Ji-Won notices the little things her best friend would do to make her look bad. The viewer is shown how Soo-Min was flirting with Min-Hwan, ooooh I was so mad… Ji-Won loses feelings for Min-Hwan naturally and begins to seek revenge. Ji-Won decides she will make her best friend marry her husband to pass her destiny to her. Since Soo-Min wants that man, she might as well take Ji-Won’s unfortunate destiny. A romance also starts to spark between Yoo Ji-Hyuk (Na In-Woo), the CEO of U&K Foods. Ji-Won makes a new friend in the office, Yoo He-Yeon(Choi Gyu-Ri ), who is the CEO’s younger sister. There will also be misunderstandings and a love triangle involving one of Ji-Won’s past high school crushes.
During this K-drama, Soo-Min just made me mad… But I love the casting, and if you compare it to the Webtoon, the actors are perfect. I give it a 10/10 and WILL watch it all over again. I recommend it to those who enjoy webtoons because this K-drama won’t disappoint.
