Alright everyone, calm down! Everyone is so excited to see the new Wicked movie, starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and the famous singer, Ariana Grande, as Glinda. We’re getting ready for this popular movie, so get your pink and green on!
If you don’t know, Wicked is based on its own actual musical. They star the characters Elphaba and Glinda. It surrounds these two witches who go on a journey together while building their dubious bond. It’s gonna be a rollercoaster for everyone.
The production and dedication put into this film is out of this world. It’s what makes the audience so amazed. When you watch it, you can see in every scene how much detail they put into this movie. They took this project with much love and wanted fans to be satisfied, which is exactly what they did. In many behind-the-scenes videos, you’ll see just how great they built these sets in order to bring them to reality. They even built the train! The director, Jon Chu, explains in many interviews how it was his dream to direct Wicked and that he wanted to bring it to real life. Also, another excellent detail of this production was that both actresses Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo sang live while recording their own stunts and scenes. The production of Wicked really reflects how much the director and actresses cared about this movie.
All throughout the movie film, you can sense the emotions these actresses and actors portray on these characters. When the movie ended, pretty much everyone was crying. That’s how emotional it was. Realistic emotions are being portrayed that give the audience a sense of being relatable and providing empathy. They resemble our inner struggles. To see these two witches who at first dislike each other, to then have this sister bond is emotional itself. The message of Wicked brings unity to the people watching and gives the opportunity to make the world better.
Wicked has everything and that’s why the public loves it, including myself. From production to the emotions of it all, it’s worth watching. Make sure to bring some tissues and snacks because there’s definitely at least one scene that’ll make you cry.
