Singer of the week
When it comes to favorite singers, many people have their own choices and there’s no right or wrong answer to this matter since everyone has different experiences when it comes to listening to music. But i’m not here to talk about the best singer, or who has the best songs, I’m just here to share with y’all a singer who i grew up listening to and someone who y’all will surely like. It was not easy to choose a single singer since I’ve listened to music my whole life. There have been many singers that have been with me and have seen me growing up, but if I have to choose only one to share with y’all it would definitely be him.
Romeo Santos, he has been doing music since 2000, and it’s still relevant nowadays. He is some of the big artists of the genre “Bachata”, but if we want to talk about his story we need to talk first about “Aventura”. In his beginnings Romeo Santos started with a group called “Aventura” and was the main singer of that group, while in aventura he released some songs that people still listens to noways, such as: “Obsesion” , “Ensename a Olvidar” and “Amor de Madre”. These songs are included in the album called “We broke the rules” by Aventura. Believe me when I say those songs were hits, people still listen to those songs when they want to dance Bachata.
Later on, in 2005 Aventura would release another big album called “God’s Project” with even bigger hits such as: “Angelito”, “Ella y yo” Ft Don Omar, another really big singer who I was thinking of writing this article about him and not Romeo Santos, and “Un beso”. All these songs bring me back memories of my childhood since my mom always liked Romeo Santos music and even wanted me to learn how to dance bachata, but i didn’t want to.
Then, after that Romeo Santos started his career as a soloist, writing and singing his own songs. The song that I most remember is “Propuesta Indecente”, which was a big hit. When it was released my mom would play this song like 3 times a day, and that makes me remember this song with a mix of emotions. Another hit by Romeo Santos is “Yo tambien” Ft Marc Anthony. Romeo Santos is a great singer worth checking out, from time to time I play some of his songs to remember some of my childhood memories.
