The annual Wyoming food drive is coming up. Here’s what you need to know.
If you are new to Wyoming or haven’t heard about this event, Family Network of Wyoming is an organization that receives resources and gives them back to our communities. Wyoming has been working with them for over 15 years, and we continue to do so.Family Newtwork’s Ms. Numeg, who taught for many years when our school was Rogers High School, helps the school coordinate the food drive..
Our goal is to collect at least 2,000 non-perishable items and monetary donations. Wyoming has done great so far by having more than 1,000+ donations the year prior.
During our 5th hour classes, well-known clubs will collect cans and coins every day starting tomorrow till the 26th of this month.
The 5th-hour class with the most cans and monetary donations will be receiving a pizza party as a thank you. If you would like to be one of the winners, encourage your friends and classmates to donate! If everyone in your class donates one dollar or one can. It will add up in the long run.
The Family Network of Wyoming believes in being “faithful, fulfilling and practical”. The network has many ways for us to give and receive food. You can go on their website and monetarily donate or you could donate food to their pantry located at: 1029 44th St SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.
If you have any other questions, comments or concerns please do not hesitate to ask BPA, Key Club, NHS, Stuco officers, and advisors. Thank you.
