As the senior year progresses with fun events, there are some deadlines that you should be paying attention to.
The most important thing to get done currently is ordering your cap and gown. You need to have bought this by November 15, 2024, which is only about a week away. It is imperative that you order this because you need these things to walk across the stage at graduation.
If you want to be dual enrolled next semester, you need to fill out your application by November 19, 2024. If you would like assistance or have any questions please ask Mrs. Drayton.
Please look in your emails for an email from parchment.com. Please read through it and sign up for the website. You will need this to send your transcripts to different colleges.
You are also eligible to apply for many many scholarships. A lot of money goes unclaimed each year because students do not take advantage of scholarships. They will give you money for college. Check out this document for more information.
The next big event for our seniors is applying for FAFSA. FAFSA is financial aid that you will apply for so you can have as little debt as possible in college. FAFSA will open December 1 and Mrs. Drayton will be around in classrooms to talk to you all about it. If you have more questions, please go see her in the office.
Your baby photos and senior photos need to be submitted by Friday, April 11, 2025. If your photos are not submitted, you will not have a baby photo in the yearbook and your Student Vue photo will be used. To submit your photos look for an email in your school email from Mrs. Odell. If you have any questions about this, please talk to Mrs. Odell or any yearbook staff.
College applications should be done by March 1, 2025. You can work on these all year long but should be done by this time.
FAFSA should also be finished by March 1, 2024.
Finally, you should have made your decision on what college you will be attending by May 1, 2025. This is extremely important because it is decision day in Michigan.
Again, if you have any questions please contact your counselor, Mrs. Mandy, Mrs. Jewel, or Mrs Drayton. Good luck seniors!
