In the corner of the library, stands one of the most hardworking and loving people in the entire school. Her name? Mrs. Sitte. She has worked at the high school for about a year and has been an awesome addition to the Wyoming staff and family.
Mrs Sitte is our librarian and she is so grateful to be here. “I enjoy the students the most,” she said. “I like connecting with students and just being a resource for everybody.”
She loves getting to know everyone and helping everyone out. “Being someone that doesn’t give you a grade in the building I think is an important role,” Mrs. Sitte said.
She wants to be a safe place for all students and a friend to talk to.
She also enjoys being at Wyoming because of how diverse our population is. She loves how Wyoming celebrates diversity. “I’ve worked in districts that didn’t have as diverse of a population of students and I just didn’t enjoy that as much as I like students from all over.” she said.
She has big ideas for Wyoming and she hopes she can accomplish a lot of things while she is here. “I hope to help to just keep making this space welcoming and shaping it into what’s really gonna help everybody succeed,” she said.
She wants to encourage more students to become readers and to enjoy reading.
Some students visit the library just to see the school pet, Mr. Darcy. He is a betta fish who lives in a cute little tank in our library on Mrs. Sittes desk. A lot of people say that he is the most sassy fish they have ever met and I can agree to that. He swims around in his tank and is very fun to watch. “If you need a moment of just mindfulness, come watch him swim or get mad at you,” Mrs. Sitte said.
Mrs. Sitte also offers some advice for any and all students in the district. “I want Wyoming students to know that you all have so much potential and you are the leaders that we are waiting for,” she said.
She has high hopes for every student in this building. “Invest in yourself, invest in your time here,” she said, “so you can bring your best self to the world and you can make it what you want it to be.”
