How Can Seniors Ensure They Walk?
The time is near… for GRADUATION!
Seniors, are you stressed? Have teachers breathing on your backs for missing assignments? Hearing the threat that you might not walk on your big day? Never Fear! Teachers and staff are willing to help! Don’t think, “Oh, I have way too much to do: sports, school work, friend hangouts, work, planning for graduation.”
STOP THE EXCUSES! You will NOT walk if you do not have 18 credits, meaning you have to pass ALL your classes to graduate, or you won’t get a diploma!
So, how can I get those credits so I can walk, you ask? Lucky for you, there are teachers who are willing to give you tips and advice on how to make sure you walk on your big day.
Greenfield: What can students do to bring their grades up?
Cornell: Depends on the class
Greenfield: If there is an exam covering the whole semester, review your notes; for vocab flashcards, Quizlet works well, too; ask your teachers what you should study. If you have an English class, review your notes The main thing is to ask teachers if you can still turn missing assignments in, even if only half done, turn in for half credit, if you have a final essay, do well so your grade can trend up.
Greenfield: How can seniors make sure they are ready to walk on their big day?
Cornell: If you are failing, you will be notified, and teachers get a list and try to help you catch up; use your resources!”
Greenfield: How can seniors improve/catch up on work in YOUR class specifically?
Cornell: AP Psych is hard to catch up in maybe see if you can turn in what you haven’t yet. You should talk to the teachers of your AP classes. Journalism can turn in things you haven’t just make sure to let me know.
Greenfield: Is there a senior exam in YOUR class?
Cornell: No senior exam
Greenfield: Mrs Lawson, How can seniors stay on top of their assignments and still have fun?
Lawson: Use all of their time at school to work on things so they do not have to bring things home all the time. Set time aside time to do work at home after school so they don’t have to use their weekends to work and can do fun things instead.
Greenfield: How can seniors stay on their assignments anGd still do senior things?
Lawson: Stay organized with their time and plan when to do their work so that their time is free when senior events are happening. Make sure they keep track of big events so they know they are coming up
Greenfield: How can seniors catch up on missing assignments before senior exams?
Lawson: Ask for help and reach out to teachers for help with catching up on assignments or keeping them updated on what they need to complete to do well in that class. Dedicate one day a week to catching up on missing assignments specifically
Greenfield: How can seniors prepare for senior exams and know what’s on the test?
Lawson: Going over all the units of their classes and refreshing their memory. Staying on top of the assignments they are currently doing in class, will contribute to senior exams. Communicate with teachers if they have questions about the exams so they know what to expect. Ask teachers what they feel they could improve by studying or working on a bit more before exams.

Lawson: They should Stay on top of submitting their art portfolios on time, have good self-time management, and pace themselves in class to make sure they complete their assignments on time.

Cherry: Be prepared and talk to your teachers and understand what will be on the exam
Greenfield: How can seniors catch up on missing work BEFORE senior exams?
Cherry: Be proactive, check your teachers’ Google Classroom and synergy grade book, and contact your teachers right away.
Greenfield: How can seniors improve their grades before senior exams?
Cherry: By completing your missing work.

Cherry: No senior exams, but you need to complete everything for unit 4
