After Hours is the 6th Album made by The Weeknd.
The Weeknd was born in Canada. He was homeless at one point and was singing in the subways just to get something to eat but then due to people posting him on the internet he was able to get signed to a label and has risen to stardom ever since.
The Weeknd explores what it’s like to be sad and heartbroken but at the top of his career as an artist whether taking drugs to numb the pain or gambling to get happiness for a slight moment. The vibe of this album is great with the use of scythes and the 80s vibes throughout making this an enjoyable album the storytelling throughout the album is perfect and from the front end to the back end of the album you are hooked and enthralled by the world building throughout the album.
Faith is one of the best songs on the album with a high-paced beat you feel like you are taking these drugs with The Weeknd and feeling what he is feeling throughout the song where the climax is him ending up in the back of an ambulance and explaining how low he has gotten to get her in the first place.
It is relatable, most people in their life have gone through heartbreak at one point or another, and this album goes through those same themes as well, and it feels therapeutic being able to let those feelings out.
After Hours which is the title track of the album is a heartfelt track that shows the heartbreak of what it is like to love someone that you messed up with and want to get them back but you know is no longer possible.
I’d give it 5 stars it is a great album it doesn’t overstay it’s welcome and the music throughout is beautiful and there are no skips on the album.
