Operation: Doomsday is a conceptive masterpiece
MF Doom is an artist who was not originally from here he was actually born in Hounslow, United Kingdom and later moved to Long Island, New York, and has made many albums such as Madvillany, MM….FOOD, BORN LIKE THIS, and many others but unfortunately passed away in 2020 at the age of 49. But his music keeps his memory alive
This album fits the period of the time being made in 1999 and incorporates many different concepts instead of becoming a hero throughout it’s actually how he became a villain and how he led down the path in the first place and it incorporated the X-Men cartoon from 1997 to compare him and Docter Doom
Doomsday has great production and the premise of the song is about him criticizing the people around him, the government, and how he became who he is (The Villian) and that we are slowly getting MF Dooms Doomsday
The Time We Faced Doom was a skit/ intro into the album showing that Doom is a villain and his plan is to take over the world. He used the old X-Men TV show
There is a story throughout the whole album and it never gets boring and was one favorite listens of the year compared to some of the albums I have listened to this year.
It gets better throughout the album and builds up to the finale of the album where his doomsday comes.
Rhymes like Dimes still keep the old vibe and the whole song rhymes with the best of words that his rhymes compare to nobody.
The Finest is him talking at first he didn’t have the best things growing up in life and how he progressed to acquire the finest things in life.
Overall I would give it a 4.5 it has songs that I would return to listen to again and there are some already in my playlist from just hearing from the first so you know there are good songs on there.
