Stephanie Cronkright may not be who you think she is.
She is more than just a student.
She is a hockey player, a tennis player, a golf player, and a former clarinet player. But most importantly, she’s my best friend.
After graduation, Stephanie will continue middle college, though she hasn’t decided what to major in. Ten years down the line, Stephanie expects to graduate from college and have a house of her own, and a family.
Stephanie loves her teachers.
Mr. Cornell and Miss Tran are the teachers who helped her the most. “Both teachers, even after school have helped me,” she said. “They are both great teachers who care about their students.”
Stephanie is in a book club with Miss Tran and often visits her room for a chat. Miss Tran has had the most effect on Stephanie’s time at Wyoming High School. “Miss Tran motivates me to do my best,” she said.
Stephanie enjoys reading and typically can be found…reading.
She can be found in Key Club meetings every Thursday. She also keeps up with Senior Committee meetings and other school events.
Over the last four years, Stephanie and I often mention a certain memory that Stephanie herself hadn’t seen but she has heard about many times. So many times, in fact,, that she almost feels like she was there.
But she wasn’t.
So, during Freshman year, our friend Symone Gray had tripped up the stairs at the junior high. I saw it happen. It was funny. Stephanie and I both still laugh about it.
Another funny thing: Stephanie has vowed to herself to never read a history book, and she claims she won’t even read the textbooks offered for her history classes.
Outside of school, Stephanie plays hockey, she also loves to watch shows on her tablet or hang out with her grandma.
“I have to watch YouTube with every meal I eat,” she said.
It is nice to reminisce, but the time is coming to an end
And after four years in high school, Stephanie is ready to go.
