As we planned to go out to eat we all had one thing in mind CHICKEN WINGS! Fahed came to pick us all up and our plan for the night was to go to Bdubs. As we got there we didn’t realize the Lions and Packers were playing so it was packed; the minimum wait time was an hour. So, we decided to try our alternative option, WingStop when we got there. It was also pretty busy but it wasn’t as busy as Bdubs. We ordered a 15pc meal for two and got the flavors that were recommended to us which were Lemon pepper and Garlic parmesan.
It took 15 minutes for us to receive our order. Once we received our food we tried lemon pepper first and it was on the saltier side and barely had any zest of lemon to it, though it is possible that the salt and other spices overpowered the lemon flavor, first impressions so far are not that convincing. Secondly, we tried the garlic parmesan and it’s safe to say that the lemon pepper was the better out of the two, parmesan had little to no flavor, was visually unappealing, and just downright sad. After finishing our meal Fahed rated it a 6/10, Gera a 5/10 and I gave it a 6/10 as well.
Aside from the wings, customer service was respectful, we had no problems with the workers. In one instance our friend Diego mistook the tip cup for the cup the worker gave him, she didn’t get frustrated and helped him grab a new cup. It was pretty funny and the workers laughed too. Unrelated to customer service the bathroom was annoying to deal with as it would always close immediately after being opened. Price-wise, everything was pretty expensive so be sure to spend at least 15 to 20 dollars.
The next day we had Bdubs and it was respectfully better than Wingstop, it had a more comfortable environment to sit and relax, compared to WingStop which was a little more cramped as there was a small amount of seating all near each other. Setting and much more space to enjoy myself with my friends. Now onto the wings, the lemon pepper was honestly much better than what Wingstop had, it was more consistent with spices. The wings had a bigger portion size also, although the wings didn’t come out as hot as Wingstops did it was still better than WingStops.
We had an amazing server, his name was Ben, and he honestly just had a super chill and welcoming atmosphere, he made the experience much better than it could ever be so shoutout to Ben, he works at the Bdubs down 44th St SW, Wyoming, MI. Overall we all felt that Bdubs was the better option between the two.
