Netflix shows to check out

Rio, from the Netflix show Good Girls.

I know summer is already here and everyone is ready to spend all their time outside having fun. But, when the day comes to an end, sometimes you just wanna chill on the couch and binge watch some shows that are worth binge watching. It’s frustrating when you scroll through for hours and find nothing. I’ve come across some gems that you should like.

Good Girls
I always find it difficult to stick to shows, I usually end up forgetting about it because it’s just so boring. This show, however, is just so good. There are so many twists and turns throughout each episode that just pulls you in. I don’t want to give away any information so just start it, right now.

Big Mouth
I’m pretty sure almost everyone has seen this series before. It’s a cartoon about puberty and it’s just really funny. Some shows try to be funny but it just comes across as stupid but this show actually makes me laugh. If you’re skeptical about it at first, just give it a try. It’s worth watching and I know it’ll make you laugh.

This is a Netflix original about a high schooler who has down syndrome. Even though it’s only a show, it’s taught me some stuff about the different types of down syndrome and how it affects people. This show reveals struggles that he faces, how different he’s treated from the other kids, and I find it to be educational. It’s really funny and the producers did a good job.

Jane the Virgin
I love this show so much. It’s like an Americanized telenovela, just overall a great series. There are only 5 seasons but each season has around 20 episodes. Basically, the plot is that the main character, Jane, got pregnant while still being a virgin. And it just takes off from there. This show will make you feel so many emotions that you didn’t even know you had. It’s funny, happy, sad, romantic, awkward, and addicting.

Netflix needs more shows like these! Sorry but canceling shows to make space for the Hype House doesn’t feel right. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoy these shows as much as I did.
