Logan’s One and Only Mock Draft

The most exciting part of the NFL offseason is the one and only mock draft.

The mock draft is always fun and interesting to do. It shows everyone’s opinions on the college prospects, changes people’s opinions on the college prospects and can be a talking point during this part of the offseason. So I decided to do a mock draft, and, without further ado, in my opinion, this would be my most accurate first round mock draft without trades.

With the first pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select… Trevor Lawrence, quarterback out of Clemson. This is the easiest pick in the draft and it fills a huge need in the Jacksonville Jaguars offense at quarterback.

With the second pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the New York Jets select… Zach Wilson, quarterback out of BYU. This is the second most easiest pick in the draft because of the hole it fills and the rumors we have been hearing from the Jets. Also Sam Darnold just left so I feel like there is no possible way that the Jets don’t take a quarterback in this year’s draft.

With the third pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the San Francisco 49ers select… Mac Jones, quarterback out of Alabama. In my opinion I feel like this is the selection that is most rumored to be the 49ers selection, but it could possibly be a smokescreen for a quarterback like Trey Lance.

With the fourth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons select… Kyle Pitts, tight end out of Florida. This selection makes sense because Arthur Smith, the new head coach, likes to run two tight end offensive schemes and they could use an upgrade from Hayden Hurst at the position.

With the fifth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select… Penei Sewell, offensive linemen out of Oregon. This is what the Bengals would do because it’s the safer pick and makes more sense to get an offensive linemen than a wide receiver at this point in the draft.

With the sixth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins select… JaMarr Chase, wide receiver out of LSU. Wide receivers make sense because the Dolphins only have Fuller and Parker as relevant receivers.

With the seventh pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Detroit Lions select… Jaylen Waddle, wide receiver out of Alabama. The Lions need some receiver help with Tyrell Williams being our current wide receiver one.

With the eighth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers select… Trey Lance, quarterback out of NDSU. They need a quarterback for the future just in case Sam Darnold doesn’t work out for them in the long run.
With the ninth pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select… Rashawn Slater, offensive tackle out of Northwestern. They need a tackle because their line isn’t the best at the moment.

With the tenth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Dallas Cowboys select… Patrick Surtain ll, cornerback out of Alabama. The way the Dallas Cowboys played last year they are going to need some good corners in their defense.

With the eleventh pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the New York Giants select… Christian Darrisaw, offensive tackle out of Virginia Tech. The Giants offensive line was horrible last year because Daniel Jones got sacked forty-five times and they desperately needed offensive line help.

With the twelfth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select… Devonta Smith, wide receiver out of Alabama. They need some talent on offense and Smith is just that by winning the heisman trophy.

With the thirteenth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Los Angeles Chargers select… Jaycee Horn, cornerback out of South Carolina. They are going to need some cornerback talent if they are going to get into the playoffs this year.

With the fourteenth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings select… Trevon Moehrig, safety out of TCU. The Vikings defense wasn’t all that great this year and Harrison Smith is starting to get old and they need an upgrade at the safety position.

With the fifteenth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the New England Patriots select… Justin Fields, quarterback out of Ohio State. The Patriots aren’t going to last with Newton at the helm for their near foreseeable future and Justin Fields can sit under him for a year and then hopefully be the future for the next ten years.

With the sixteenth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Arizona Cardinals select… Christian Barmore, defensive line out of Alabama. Although they did sign JJ Watt he is old and they are going to need someone for the future to hold that down and Barmore could be that guy for them.

With the seventeenth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… Alijah Vera-Tucker, offensive line out of USC. This is a good pick because they basically traded away their whole offensive line and they need an infusion of talent and youth at the position.

With the eighteenth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins select… Najee Harris, running back out of Alabama. The Dolphins need an upgrade at the running back position over Myles Gaskin and they need youth for the future.

With the nineteenth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the WFT select… Micah Parsons, linebacker out of Penn State. In my opinion I think that it is an incredible pick at this spot because of the value the team will be getting from it and even though linebacker is not their main need they can’t pass up on his talent this late into the first round.

With the twentieth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Chicago Bears select… Greg Newsome ll, cornerback out of Northwestern. This is a good pick because they need youth and they just released Kyle Fuller their top cornerback.

With the twenty first pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Indianapolis Colts select… Rashod Bateman, wide receiver out of Minnesota. This is a good pick because it’s a nice pairing with Michael Pittman Jr. and T.Y Hilton is getting old and he is slow.

With the twenty second pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Tennessee Titans select… Caleb Farley, cornerback out of Virginia Tech. This is a good pick because they are lacking at the cornerback position since they just released Malcolm Butler and Adoree Jackson.

With the twenty-third pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the New York Jets select… Kwity Paye, edge out of Michigan. This is a good pick because they need youth and Kwity Paye has been outstanding at the college level.

With the twenty-fourth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select… Walker Little, tackle out of Stanford. The Steelers need a boost of youth on their offensive line and Little is an intriguing prospect at the position.

With the twenty-fifth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select… Teven Jenkins, offensive tackle out of Oklahoma State. This is the right pick because the Jaguars offensive line isn’t the best and they are going to need some youth to protect Trevor Lawrence, their first overall pick.

With the twenty-sixth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select… Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, linebacker out of Notre Dame. This is the pick here because of how much value Jeremiah gives you. Jeremiah would be an upgrade over Cleveland’s current linebackers and would be amazing value at pick 26.

With the twenty-seventh pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Baltimore Ravens select… Elijah Moore, wide receiver out of Mississippi. This draft pick makes sense because they desperately need wide receiver help and Moore is the best wide receiver at this point in the draft.

With the twenty-eighth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the New Orleans Saints select… Terrace Marshall Jr, wide receiver out of LSU. This pick makes sense because he is the best wide receiver available at this point in the draft and the Saints desperately need wide receiver help.

With the twenty-ninth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Green Bay Packers select… Asante Samuel Jr, cornerback out of Florida State. This is a great pick because the Packers will soon need to get a replacement for Kevin King because he hasn’t been performing the best recently and if he doesn’t again this year Asante will be a good replacement.

With the thirtieth pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills select… Azeez Ojulari, edge out of Georgia. This makes sense because the Bills desperately need edge help on their defense and they need some youth and talent in that part of their defense.

With the thirty-first pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Baltimore Ravens select…. Jayson Oweh, edge out of Penn State. This should be the pick because edge is a need for the Ravens and Oweh gives them amazing value at the thirty-first pick.

With the thirty-second pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select… Travis Etienne, running back out of Clemson. This is the pick because the Bucs have three running backs that are going to need contracts next year and Etienne gives them a cheaper running back at the same value as there three other running backs.
