Senior year has finally come. And I honestly don’t know how I feel about it. There’s just a whole bunch of mixed emotions but an emotion that overtakes would be anxiousness.
Some people say senior year is easy, fun, and nothing to worry about. Others say that it’s probably the hardest and most stressful year they’ve ever had.
I imagined senior year to be fun with fewer assignments and more talks about our future, just final touches of highschool. This is not the case, senior year consists of the same things as other years except more college talks.
Well, right now I’m kind of stressing about college and everything I wanna do after school ends. I don’t know where to turn in SAT scores, and the same thing with filing FAFSA. Everything is just stressful.
Yes, the classes might be easy and there are probably no big deals going on, but as soon as counselors, teachers, and students start mentioning college all I can think about the whole time is what am I going to do? Is it really worth it? How do I get from point A to point B is one of my main questions.
I’ve been thinking about college since sophomore year. I don’t quite have a plan yet but I’m gonna start to build one. I’m currently applying for scholarships and it’s very stressful.
Right now I’m thinking about going to GRCC and then maybe transferring to U of M. But then another option would be just going straight to U of M and then transferring to an out of state school. I would like to major in astrobiology or astronomy. Anything in that field or work for NASA.

So far my senior year has been flying. Everything is a blur at the moment. There have been some seniors trying to spread the word about senior things such as the senior sweater being the ticket to the senior all night thing. So many staff and seniors want others “out of the group.” Meaning they wanna get as many seniors involved in extracurricular activities and clubs. It’s pretty crazy because they’re not really crystal clear and it makes us seniors really confused.
I just hope my senior year is full of opportunities and memories. I’ve been looking forward to this year forever which it sort of seems like it’s been forever.
Looking back onto my previous highschool years, I can say it was decent. It was definitely stressful and tiring. I always wanted to give up and begin slacking in school, but now that I’m finally able to call myself a senior, it makes me really happy.
