Song: Bully
Artist: Shinedown
Album: Amaryllis
Genre: Hard Rock
Year: 2012

My mother was the one to show me this song. When I was in seventh grade, young and stupid, I struggled with being bullied a lot. I was too afraid to do anything about it, so I would just let myself be bullied. After hearing this song, my perspective on the whole situation changed.
This song is an anthem, not just for the bullied, but also to the bullies themselves. The song tells the victims of bullying that they are not alone and that they can stand proud of who they are while bringing awareness to bullies. In many ways, the song conveys that regardless of a bullies reasoning, their actions hurt and, in some cases, can lead to suicide.
I recommend this song because It can serve as, not only, an inspiration for people being bullied to stand up for themselves, but also as a reminder to bullies that their actions have consequences, some more severe than others.

It”s sad that there are so many toxic work environments. The negativity just goes round and round and everyone”s just too stressed to deal with it in a civilized manner and no one”s willing to defuse it themselves so they contribute to it instead. Workplace bullies are by far the worst to deal with, especially when it goes as far as sabotaging your work. Your coworkers sees you as competition, that”s why work is more of a battlefield than anything and you have to strategize to survive it. If the bullying is limited to verbal abuse, there are ways to counter it. Keep a poker face, stay silent, let them talk as long as they want and when they are finished, ask questions in a very calm and neutral tone. “Why are you saying that? Make those bullies aware of themselves, because when they are attacking others, their focus aren”t on themselves so they don”t realize how much of an asshole they are and by staying silent while they talk, they can hear themselves being assholes. When you respond to them aggressively, it”s just adding oil to the fire.
